Broccoli Gruyere Casserole
This is a different way to make broccoli, and you'll be happy for the change up! The gruyere goes so nicely with the broccoli. It's a pleasant surprise.
Ingredients:
- 2lbs frozen broccoli florets
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 4 cups whole milk
- 16oz Gruyere cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Boil broccoli florets in salted water
- Drain
- Add 1 stick of butter to your pan
- Add flour and cook for 2 minutes, keep stirring it
- Whisk in milk and simmer until thickened, about 4 minutes
- Remove from heat and add in cheese
- Add salt and pepper
- Taste and adjust seasonings
