Pan Seared Chicken
Sometimes we just need a quick dinner y'all. This is one that I like to do! It's not much more work than throwing it in the oven to bake. It is light but still flavorful.
Ingredients:
- 4 Chicken breast- cut in half
- Salt
- Slap ya mama cajun seasoning- 1/4tsp per side of each chicken breast
- Big and Zesty Blackened creole seasoning- 1/4tsp per side of each chicken breast
- Lemon juice
- Olive Oil
Directions:
- Squeeze the juice of 3 lemons into a bowl
- Place your chicken in there to sit for 20 minutes- this helps make it tender and keep it moist
- After 20 minutes, remove chicken from lemon juice and pat dry
- Sprinkle each side of the chicken breast with salt
- Sprinkle each side of the chicken breast with 1/4tsp Slap ya mama seasoning and Blackened creole seasoning
- Put the Olive Oil in the pan, cover the bottom of your frying pan
- Fry each side of the chicken until done (Tip: Fry the first side and don't flip until you see the top side turning white on the sides)
