char-grilled shrimp
So, in New Orleans, we LOVE Char-Grilled Oysters.
It is only natural I would just go ahead and do this with shrimp, right?!
The shrimp pick up the smoky flavor while soaking up the butter to make for a juicy bite. Don’t forget to soak up the butter with your bread!
2 sticks of butter
20 cloves of garlic (yeah!!!)
1tbsp parsley
2 tsp Slap Ya Mama cajun seasoning (per section)
1 loaf of french bread, sliced
Slice french bread and set aside
Heat grill
Finely chop or grate your garlic
Chop butter into tbsp sizes
In a medium sized pan, heat about 1tbsp of butter
Add all your garlic and cook it for about 30 seconds
Remove from heat
Add the remaining butter and stir continuously (it should look creamy)
Add one or two shrimp per section of your grill safe pan <You can also use tin foil muffin cups if you don’t have this type of pan>
Seaon with 2 tsp of Slap Ya Mama
Add a tbsp of garlic butter per section
Baste some slices of french bread with the garlic butter so you can add that to the grill too!
If you have extra garlic butter, put it on the bread or shrimp, either way, super yummy!
Cook until shrimp are cooked through
Grill bread, flipping until toasted
