My love of lobster is a recent discovery. About two years ago we started buying it and trying to cook it different ways. We started with the traditional way, steamed and dipped in garlic butter… I hated it. So I decided to cook it the way we would crawfish, which I love. It turned out fabulous and that is where my cajun lobster recipe came from.

So now was time to test it out on the grill!

I spice up some butter and put it on the lobster tails while grilling which give it an awesome flavor. Enjoy!

6-8 Lobster tails

1 stick of butter

  • Juice from 1 lemon

  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama cajun seasoning

  • 2 tbsp chopped garlic, or garlic powder- start with 1 tsp at a time

Prepare your lobster tails. Using kitchen scissors cut down the spine. Separate the meat from the shell and pull it through so it sits atop the shell.

Grill the tails directly over medium heat, basting with the butter mixture about every 10 minutes.

Grill until the internal temperature is 140-145 F. The meat should look opaque instead of translucent.
