daddy's shrimp
This recipe right here is the first shrimp, other than fried, that I remember my daddy cooking.
It is so simple, so be prepared to have your main dish ready in 5 minutes. It is tasty and full of garlic butter. Make sure to have your bread ready to sop it up!
Ingredients:
2 cups shrimp (Heads popped, peel and devein)
2 sticks of butter
2 tbsp slap ya mama cajun seasoning
1 cup white wine (not sweet, preferably dry)
2 tbsp garlic powder
Directions:
Pop, peel and devein the shrimp
Add garlic powder and slap ya mama seasoning to the shrimp and toss it around
Melt the sticks of butter slowly in a pan
Add the wine and bring up the heat
Add shrimp to the pan
Cook until pink (They cook very fast!)
Adjust any seasonings
