grilled ribeye
There is much debate on how to cook the perfect steak. Well, I know the way I like it and think it is pretty perfect.
Do you know, it took a long time. My dad, he is a salt and pepper man. That's all that man needs.
So, when I got married, my husband started grilling steaks among other things. Well, we did this thing called "marinade" and I thought it was the best thing ever! Ha! Who knew.
Now, you probably think I am about to have some fancy recipe for marinade below, but I am not. Because, to me, the secret of making a good steak is a mix of things.
First, buy good meat. No matter what kind of steak you get, buy good quality meat. It makes the difference. Second, salt and pepper, baby. Don't be afraid to salt it. My husband still gets nervous about this, but go on! Don't be scared. And put as much pepper as you think you can handle. It's good for you.
And third... time. Take your time watching your meat. You want a hard sear? Cook it high first and then move it away from the heat. Use your meat thermometer to make sure you don't over cook them.
