I love this meal during the weeknight or any night! It’s fast, easy and cheap! I love using sirloin steaks because I can find them on sale, which makes it a very budget friendly meal for the family.

Servings: 6-8
Ingredients:

Oil (I have been loving Eniva’s Avocado/Safflower oil blend. It has a high smoking point, and the taste is neutral.)

2lbs cubes up sirloin steak

2 medium/large onions, sliced into strings

2 green bell peppers, sliced into strings

salt

pepper

slap ya mama- original seasoning

2 tbsp butter- 1 tbsp for cooking meat and 1 tbsp for cooking veggies

Directions:
Cut up your sirloin steak into bite sizes
Toss with a little oil, salt and pepper
Place in a bowl and set aside
Slice onions and bell peppers into strings, place in a bowl and set aside
*Optional- If you have the time, you can allow your steak to sit with the salt on it. It makes it more tender, which is sometimes needed for sirloin. If you don’t have the time, it will be okay, just don’t overcook it!
Lets Cook!:
On medium high heat
Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a heavy bottom pan (TIP: I like to use a non stick pan for this meal, it helps keep the juices and almost make a light gravy)
Place sirloin in the pan, brown on both sides
Add the other tablespoon of butter
Remove steak from pan and now cook the onions and bell peppers
Season with slap ya mama, or salt and pepper
Cook until translucent and soft, but don’t over cook until they’re mush!
Add steak back to pan and cook to desired temperature
Serve!

Make it a meal:
Serve with some roasted potatoes
Keep it low carb and serve it with veggies

Directions:

Salt meat and set in the fridge for a few hours if you have time. I think this helps tenderize the meat.

Heat a large nonstick skillet

Melt the butter and move it around to cover the pan

Add the meat and brown on both sides

Add pepper and slap ya mama at this time, more salt if needed

Once meat is browned, move to a plate

Add the other tbsp over butter and cook down veggies now

Season your veggies while they cook, I usually just use Slap ya mama at this point

Once veggies are soft and cooked down where you want, add the meat back and cook to desired temperature
