I love our smoker.  Not only is it easy to use but it makes any meat as tasty as can be. My favorite style of meat to do is the boneless pork butts.  They turn out so juicy, and the best part is when you have left overs, you can make pulled pork with it! This recipe is for a 2.5lb pork butt. Most are double the size of this, so you can just double the recipe and adjust the time according to your smoker.

Ingredients: Pork Rub

  • 2/3 brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp chili powder

  • 1 tbsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne

  • 1/2 tbsp ground mustard

  • 1 tbsp salt

Directions:

  • Mix all ingredients and rub it all over your pork

  • If you have extra spice mixture you can add water to it to make a slurry, then inject it- this is optional

  • Place on smoker rack

  • cook on 250 for 5-6 hours, target internal temp is 195-205 (approx 1.5 hr per pound)

  • Recommended wood chips: Apple

  • The lower the heat and longer the smoking time the better it comes out
