Chocolate Bundt Cake with Chocolate Glaze
Chocolate lovers unite! I love chocolate. I mean, I freaking love chocolate. I have never met anything chocolate I didn't love. This cake fulfills all the chocolate cravings you have. The glaze puts it over the top and fancies it up a bit. Bundt cakes are so easy too. No layers, no fuss, just a simple yummy cake.
Ingredients:
2 sticks butter plus more for the pan
2 1/4 cups AP flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (I love dutch)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
Glaze:
3 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp unsalted butter
Directions:
Cake
Preheat the oven to 325.
Butter a large bundt pan.
Whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Mix milk and sour cream in a small bowl- set aside.
With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy and pale- 4 minutes.
Add eggs 1 at a time, blend after adding.
Add vanilla extract and paste.
On low speed, Add flour mixture, alternate between flour and mix mixture. Start with flour and end with flour.
Pour batter into bundt pan.
Smooth top.
Cook for 55 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
Make Glaze:
Bring the cream to a simmer and remove from heat.
Add the chocolate pieces.
Leave it for about 2-3 minutes, and then mix it.
Add the butter and mix.
Let it stand until slightly thickened.
