My mom brought this cake over a while back that she had gotten from the local grocery store.
My family and I immediately fell in love and the rest is history. I knew I had to learn how to make this at home.
I am still working on a recipe, because I am not always a fan of starting with a box cake mix.  99.8% of the time, I do not have cake mix at home, so I get a bit aggravated when I look for recipes and they call for cake mix! I'll get right on that for y'all. :)

Ingredients:

  • 1 box golden cake mix (duncan hines is what I used)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract

Streusel:

  • 2.5 tbsp cake mix
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tsp cinnamon

Icing:

  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk

Directions:

  • Open package of cake mix and put it in mixing bowl
  • Reserve 2.5 tbsp cake mix in another bowl
  • Add all ingredients listed above for the cake and mix well
  • Pour into bundt pan
  • Make streusel
  • Pour the streusel all over top evenly
  • Take a butter knife and swirl it all around so it goes into the batter
  • Cook on 375 for 45 minutes or until done
  • Make icing that goes on top
  • Allow cake to cool on a wire rack
  • When cool, drizzle the icing all over
  • Serve!
